Hip-hop in Chico is dying. They are slowly but surely taking it away. So, just to let em know that Hip-hop ain't going nowhere.....The Hooliganz are throwing the biggest back to School show ever with guest One Block Radius, Tre Jones,with DMJ and Chris Kenyon........ Friday, August 24th @ LASalle's in Chico,CA, 21+ (For the Grown and Sexy), 7$ @ door and they open at 10pm. Let's bring back some real music to this BIT@H! League of Women Voters wine tasting also features desserts

Butte County's League of Women Voters will celebrate its 34th Annual Wine Tasting from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Lakeside Pavilion in Chico. Tickets are $25 in advance and can be purchased at Vino 100 in the Safeway Shopping Center on Mangrove in Chico, from any League member or by calling 897-9369. Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $30. Guests will sample wine from more than 50 wineries as well as a selection of local beers and ales. League members will prepare and serve a light buffet. This year, several desserts are being added to the menu. Money raised from this event is used to support the League's nonpartisan activities, particularly in providing voter information and hosting candidate forums. The League was founded in 1920 and has been in Butte County for more than 60 years. For more information, call 566-9848.
