Dear Readers,

We are changing our format once again. We are getting rid of our off-site calendar, but will continue to post events of interest here on our blog and on our new website, chiconightlifecrew.com. You can also post your events free there.

We will also be posting blog entries on local venues, businesses, and artists in the coming months, so stay tuned!

The Chico Nightlife Scene....Let's Bring it Back!

I HAVE BEEN HEARING AND SEEING A LOT OF CONFLICTING STORIES WHEN IT COMES TO THE CHICO NIGHTLIFE SCENE. A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE SAYING IT'S DEAD OR IT'S NOT WHAT IT USED TO BE, BUT THEN YOU GO OUT ON A SATURDAY NIGHT AND THE CLUBS ARE MOSTLY PACKED. I THINK THERE ARE TWO MAJOR PROBLEMS RIGHT NOW. 1: PEOPLE ARE BROKE, AND IT'S A LOT CHEAPER TO STAY AT HOME. 2: THERE HASN'T BEEN ENOUGH ORGANIZATION AND PROMOTION TO KEEP THE LIVE MUSIC GOING STRONG. LET'S CHANGE THIS. WE'VE CREATED A SOCIAL NETWORK (A WEBSITE LIKE MYSPACE) EXCLUSIVELY FOR PEOPLE INVOLVED IN THE CHICO NIGHTLIFE SCENE. THIS WILL ALLOW US TO MAKE MORE CONTACTS, PROMOTE MORE EFFICIENTLY, AND WORK TOGETHER AS A COMMUNITY TO BRING OUR NIGHTLIFE SCENE BACK TO LIFE. TO JOIN OUR ONLINE COMMUNITY, VISIT http://chicoblogteam.ning.com AND SIGN UP. IT TAKES 30 SECONDS! MISSY CHICO BLOG TEAM
